I've never heard her speak or met her, but it would be a thrill, and how I'd love to thank her in person for her lovely fabrics. From the videos I've seen of her, she is an impressive woman.

How wonderful! And what a contrast, didn't someone post on here recently that she took a class with Kaffe Fasset and he would not sign her quilt or a book or something? He sounded very uppity (I know I am dating myself with that word). Kaffe and Tula Pink are superstars in the quilt world. Lucky you for meeting her and I love hearing when people we look up to are actually really nice in person.

    That's sew cool!
I have a Tula Pink rotary cutter that I am afraid to take out of the house for fear of losing it. When I go to sewing things, I bring my cheap plastic ones.
I would totally dig it if she signed my quilt! Or anything.

It is interesting that you mention Kaffe. When she started out, she was in awe of Amy Butler and Kaffe Fassett. She still views them as Demi-Gods, but she says that they have been friends now for over 10 years. It would be sad if he refused to sign. Maybe that is why she will sign anything presented to her. That is wise, because as with all stars, one day they will shine a little less. She is very down to earth.

I wondered if you had attended from the pictures I saw. Glad for you.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

I have some pictures with Tula on my phone, and my friend tagged me in Facebook, but I am still trying to figure out how to download. I am challenged with my phone.

She came to Annandale, VA. I attended her lecture. Yes, she is very funny. She said that she would never make clothes because she would not, under any condition, measure her thighs. I almost died laughing.
