    Default I'm so cross!!!

I'm looking for a pattern for a large weekender/travel bag - but that's by-the-by because I already have a couple but looking for something different. It's so annoying when the pattern is there to print out or you have to order a pattern but nowhere does it tell you the finished size - even worse when you don't know before you buy

What annoys you when you're starting on a project or buying the essentials

Yes, that is terribly frustrating. Have you looked at the patterns at Craftsy? Some of them are free.

I think the thing that annoys me, is wanting a quilt in different sizes and having to guesstamate how much extra fabric is needed. lol, but I do it all the time. So it must not be too annoying.

I did the Voyageur Bag. It's great and very practical. It meets the regulations as a carry on bag.

The pattern is available from Among Brenda's Quilts in Ontario, Canada. It may be available online. I will definitely make another.

The Factotum is a nice sized bag. It is carry on size for an airplane. I made one last year and, I will admit, it was a challenge, but mainly because I was sick at the time and it took quite some time to get it sewn. Included with the pattern is a purse version called the Mini Factotum, which I love and carry daily.

I have seen some patterns that do not give the finished size of the bag, and I just keep on looking. I refuse to buy a pattern that does include finished size. and that goes for quilts too.
I am amazed by some that simply say "twin" or "queen" size without telling you what they think that size actually is. I have a full sized bed, and I have to buy queen size if I want the top to cover the matress down to the box spring.
