To spend $45 and not know what you are getting...........I don't think so.

Now spend $45 for yardage at an estate sale where you can choice what you are getting.........that sounds better!

its a great idea for newbies to sewing, or for anyone wanting to increase stash.

bought a large bag of remnants from a GB supplier (a few years back) for £10 / $13, when started out the sewing journey.
Some fabrics were large some were small, it made me think how to use, to reduce any waste.
was amazing the amount of items made on treadle, lots of bags given away to friends and family.
suppose if got some fabric didn't like ,could of learnt to dye it in washer, or given away to other folk who sew, or charity.
    happy memories xx

Mystery fabric is mostly ugly fabric, in my opinion.
If it was pretty (and in high demand) they would not have to hide it under the guise of "mystery bundle" and "reduced price"

And finally - One gal's surprise is another woman's shock.

I'm thinking it's probably end of bolts. Good for someone building their stash.

A few years ago, before M*, I bought a mystery fat quarter bundle that was all Thimbleberries. I was very much into Thimbleberries at the time so it was a great deal and I got a lot of usage out of it.

Ugly fabric could be used as lining. And if you use it in a scrappy quilt and cut it small enough it might loose the ugliness!

I wouldn't buy it either, dont like batiks or stripes or turquoise, but if anyone goes for it would you please post a picture of what you got? I am kind of curious! My budget is shot, I had to buy a new oven yesterday, an unexpected expense.

I am far too picky for this to be a good deal for me. I have tried to be adventuresome with smaller "mystery" fabric stuff and I always end up not liking the majority of the fabric. For me, I would never spend $45 and not be sure I loved (or at least really liked) all of the fabric.

Okay folks, so far all of you have nixed the mystery box. As a fun experiment I'm going to buy this to see if I do get some truly ugly fabrics. Normally I wouldn't bother because I don't want to waste $45... but I just got a nice fat check from work for 30-years of service so I'm going to go for it. When it shows up I'll post a picture.

I think I am going order it. I do lots of charity quilts so I can use mo e or less anything specially if I do something improv with. Good price for good fabric. Sounds like a winner to me.

Not a gambler here either. I feel I would get way too much I did not like and would never get used. I am not much for scrappy look myself. It seems like a lot of $ to spend on a maybe.
