Warm and natural batting difference
What is the difference between the white batting from Warm and Natural and the tan one , is one better than the other as far as quilting and FMQ? Mahalo

Re: Warm and natural batting difference
According to the Warm website, Warm and Natural has been manufactured without washing with chemicals while Warm and White has been bleached. It says the white won't shrink but the natural will shrink 3-5% depending on whether you wash in warm water. I don't have enough experience with fmq to speak with confidence about the difference between the two.

I haven't really noticed a difference between the two once quilted.

I heard someone say (can't remember what teacher) to use white behind lighter fabrics and whites because the tannish tone of batting will sometimes make your crisp white look off white. So they were saying choose batting colors based on top you make. As for Warm and Natural I have no idea. I have not really made enough to notice a difference.

So you have used both? Which do you like better . The white is cheaper so I was wondering I am going to message them and see what they say I'll post when they answer. Mahalo

Re: Warm and natural batting difference
I have used both Warm & Natural and Warm & White. I finally started just getting the Warm & White because it doesn't show through when I have white fabrics in my top. The natural color sometimes did and made the white fabrics looks off color.

I asked a question the other day about the difference between the white and tan. I just called them and it seems that there is absolutely no difference other than one has been pre-shrunk and bleached the white one and the tan hasn't but they quilt exactly the same this is good to know because the white is cheaper for some reason at Joann`s online.
