Default Wildlife Rail Fence Quilt is Finished

Except for a label, this one is finished. After the sun came out, I took pics outside today. There are more pics in my new album, but I'll post a few here. This one measures 43.5" x 58.5" & is made from scraps & yardage left over from previous projects. I used some of these same fabrics in my "Turning Twenty...Again" quilts as well as a COC quilt I sent to Blondie. I have enough scraps left that I'm making a Buckeye Beauty lap quilt as well.

This is a simple Rail Fence, with the middle section of the block being wider than the 2 sides. The blocks finish at 8". It was nice to work on something simpler for a change. This one will be a HS grad. gift for my grandson. They live in rural N. Idaho, where moose have wandered on to their 5 acre property to feed on the horses' hay. The previous place they lived also was rural & had a pond which the moose visited.

I used Angela Walters' all-over leaf FMQ pattern, but I made my leaves more pointed than hers. I did edge-to-edge, even in the border. I used 40 wt. cotton King Tut & Signature threads for the FMQ. Thanks for looking.Click image for larger version.

Love your meandering leaves quilting. Very appropriate to the subject.

Love it. I am a big fan of woodsy quilts. What kind of machine did you do that FMQ on?
