Olympic sewing moment

For the first time ever, I sewed through my fingernail and ripped a quarter of it up from the nail bed. Though terribly painful and quite an ugly injury, I didn’t cry or scream or curse, and my first thought was, “Is there blood on my fabric!?” If that doesn’t deserve a gold medal, I don’t know what does!

Oh nooooooooooo! I'm not sure I wouldn't have let loose with some colorful vocabulary that would burn the hair off of sailor's ears. After that, I might have worried about blood.

I can thankfully say there was no blood on the fabric! I would have really been cursing if there was!
