Best of all we had fun both at this great class and also the quick mini-tour of the historic town. I was glad she came.
It was so much fun! I really enjoyed your town on the river. It's great to get away and learning something new is better with a friend. Thanks so much for inviting me. I wouldn't have done the class on my own.

Thanks, Anita, I wasn't intending to put myself down - sorry if it came across that way. In a room of 20 students with realistic, beautiful landscapes, mine was definitely different - not horrible, just different. I found that peach fabric while looking through one of the sale bins at the quilt shop. I had already picked out normal sky material, but as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted it to be my sky. I filled in the rest from my stash.

I tend to walk to a different drummer - I do like it. DH is going to hang it in his office at work as soon as I can get it done.

I like it. Nice use of scale and texture orientation in the fabrics to create the landscape.

Now that talks to me, border really works with the landscape colors and the landscape seems to move and flow. Terrific creative quilt.

ah ha! it IS the same instructor! LOL

I love your version! It doesn't look nuclear to me, but I march to a different drummer as well.

I'm so glad y'all took this class and did so well. It looks like fun.

Terry, look for a class by Judy Lilly. She doesn't travel as much now, but she's located in Myrtle Beach, SC and does classes throughout the SE. She is an excellent teacher - patient, encouraging, and makes the class fun. I hope you can find one!
