I also made a 10 inch cookie in this same skillet. I will try to get that posted soon!

That's the way I used to make cornbread. I quit making it...may have to make some again.

We get used to making with Jiffy, right? I was out last week and made from scratch. So, so much better.

I make my cornbread in a skillet. Usually to go with soup or BBQ beans but honestly i could make a meal just on cornbread!

Oh I have to try this. I love cornbread but it's not served locally as a staple to a meal.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Pioneer Woman makes her cornbread this way. I've been wanting an iron skillet so maybe this is the time to get one. I grew up on cornbread and beans, yummy.

I don't like my cornbread sweet either or like cake. Guess I'm old fashioned about it.

When I was growing up, and had a working mom, we sometimes had cornbread and milk as a meal. Just breaking hot cornbread into a glass of cold milk and eating it with a spoon. I still love it that way.

Wow, been a looooong time since I ate it like that. Brings back warm memories of my father....he loved to eat it that way. He considered it dessert!

I tried this recipe this week. Next time I will make it in a smaller skillet so it's a bit thicker.

When I was a kid, Mom would make cornbread, and we'd eat it warm with corn syrup poured over it.
