Re: Block Magazine
The charge goes through on your card when the magazine goes to the printer. That way you are assured a copy and M* isn't stuck with a million extra copies because people back out on their order.

Re: Block Magazine
I get that it is a long time - however, I appreciate the early charge so I know I will receive my book as soon as they are printed.

Re: Block Magazine
Please remember also if you subscribe to any other magazine, you pay up front for a 1 year or more subscription, so in essence you pay for a magazine that you will not receive for 10-11 months.

Re: Block Magazine
I switched to annual billing last week and got the email notice that they billed me for the full amount today. I didn't have any issues with bi-monthly billing or the time between billing and delivery, I just decided to make the change that I'd been considering for awhile.

Re: Block Magazine
Isn't that basically what you do with a yearly subscription of other magazines? Pay before shipping?

I've never ordered any magazines before but I imagine you are correct on that. It's not so much charging me in advance as it is waiting for so many weeks.

Re: Block Magazine
This has been the process since the first copy I received when it first started. Personally I have no issue wth the upfront charge
