    Default Kitchen done

I finally have my kitchen sewing done. It's taken me 4 years to decide what I wanted to do for the kitchen windows so I had nothing on them. The house next door is very close so that's all you see from them. This is pic heavy so be patient :-) Sorry they didn't turn out a clear as I wanted but here goes.

The window side of the kitchen: btw it's hard to see but the snowman picture was a gift from my Secret Santa a few years ago :-)

Since I was changing kitchen colos more toward the blues, greens etc I decided to change the towels, potholders and also made a utencil bag to hand on my oven handle. I used up the stash from the shades for this. I used the pattern for the hanging towels and adapted it to have a pouch so I could put the stove utencils I use the most. I got tired of rummaging through my kitchen draws constantly tiring to find them.

Just as an aside I received two beautiful runners from my Secret Santa this year and I thought they were now perfect for my kitchen with blues. :-) On the table is the dresden and on my freezer toward the back which is hard to see is a lovely butterfly runner!

I never seem to get the time to sew for myself and I'm so proud of myself this January! I've made up my mind to also do some kitchen chair mats next and a few placemats and napkins with the blues or blue greens maybe with a little yellow as the accent.

I really love your shades! I too have a kitchen window that looks into my neighbor's patio. A shade would be awesome. Thanks for the idea!

Sure does look like stained glass windows. To me that would be very peaceful.

Wow! What a beautiful makeover! I really do love all the beautiful things you 've done to make it so homey. I must say, I love the blinds...how lovely and clever. Nice to feel that you have a little more privacy, and at the same time have the gorgeous blinds to brighten your kitchen. You have been sew productive...good for you and you definitely should feel good about it and be proud!

Your window coverings are really gorgeous- you did a wonderful job on them and all the rest looks great too. Very inspiring.

Everything looks so nice. So wishing I could actually 'sew' sometimes.
