Default January activities (warning pic heavy)

January 2018 has been a busy one for me. I have quilted these two for the charity bee of my local guild

The brown/cream quilt was a cheater cloth where I did a lot of SID to showcase the stars.

Blue/Yellow quilt was quilted with Bora/Bora pantograph.

This was a panel finished with minky backing, minimal quilting.

Trellis quilt was a free pattern I found from Jess Jung. Had 4 of the same charm packs. Was trying to use up stash (my goal for 2018), and this worked. Only had to purchase fabric for border and backing.

This is a baby quilt to be gifted to a friend having her first grandchild. (if you know her, please don't tell her). Used Jenny's tutorial and added the pieced border.

Eat, Play. Sleep, Repeat is a kit I purchased at the Houston Quilt Festival. This is the first kit I have ever purchased. Love this quilt, but it is taking forever to stitch the "Chenile-it" strips in the border. Since I have vacation plans for next week, it will end up being a February finish (hopefully I still have my mojo after vacation).

Every one of them is exquisite and everyone is making me feel guilty that I have not been doing any charity quilting. I did finish my window covers today though so some progress is being made. (Maybe I need to go back to work so I can be a more productive quilter lol)

No need to feel guilty Terry, you have done your fair share. I haven't done much in the are of quilting in 2017, and my goal in 2018 is to get rid of a lot of fabric I inherited (not necessarily quilting fabric). I will mainly focus on that this year, and quilt a few others created by other bee members.

Holy cow Karen, did you take time to eat, sleep and play? Looks like you've been working hard in January! Beautiful works of love!

Karen is definitely like Speedy Gonzales! Great going there! Cheater panels or not, panels or not, they are beautiful. And I'm not going to tell any future baby's grandmother . . .

Those all are very nice. I'll be happy if I finish 1 quilt this month. I did finally finish the FMQ on my Kaffe Fassett quilt & have the binding partly done.

Wow. You have been busy. They are all great. Love them all, but the baby quilt, and 'cheater' sing to me.

You have had one very productive month! Hopefully I will follow in your footsteps and complete some projects. They are all beautiful!
