I would cut the blocks apart and add coordinating fabrics for extra blocks. Click image for larger version.

This made a good size lap quilt 60 x 80. It was a perfect gift for a bird loving friend. I added the friendship star cornerstone (M*QC tutorial). Click image for larger version.

If you still love the fabric, the inspiration will follow.

I love yours Suzanne. The blocks I have are huge by comparison. I wish they were smaller. These are almost the size of placemats and I don't want to do another placemat in my whole entire life LOL. I am getting a lot of good ideas here though and I love what others are doing.

I do like the idea of putting them in the window frame settings. Not sure if I'm better off doing the yellow and blue ones separately as either quilts or window shades. I think it's the size of those insets that is causing me the creative problem :-/ Or maybe, God forbid, I'm no longer a bird person LOL

If it takes me much longer to become enthusiastic about something I might just put them in the I Dont Want it You can have It group for some fat quarters or something.

There is a pattern where you take two identical panels.....slice them lengthwise....sew them together....and repeat width wise. Someone did this in the forum and said they would send the free pattern. Let me dig and see if I can find said pattern.

Pinterest has a lot of panel quilts. I’m a sucker for novelty and panels, but have done just a few. I don’t see how to post a picture or I’d add one.
