I would make the quilt larger....but I love it. I will make this one for sure. It looks complicated to lay out, but it's not.

Oh, I love it! I wonder how big it would be if you used the whole layer cake.

I have some Kaffe Fassett fabrics in my stash. I might also use baby/children's fabrics for a baby quilt, but I would make is smaller. My favorite size is appox. 38" x 48". Makes a nice crib quilt & is easy to manage on the Tiara. I also think this pattern would be pretty with batiks. There just are so many things one can do with HSTs.

I worked on the calcs for this earlier. Looks like you would use 41 of each squares (print & solids) and end up with enough hst to do 36 blocks, each block being 12" square.

So before borders that would be (6 blocks across, and 6 blocks down) 72" x 72". Looks like Jenny used a finished inner border of 2.5 and a finished outer border of 4" (total of 6.5" each side) so you would end up with a quilt approx 85" x 85".

I remembered I have some HSTs already made, just waiting to be used. After I finish my Christmas projects, I'll lay these out & see if I can come up with a workable plan. I think I want the colored fabrics to be the center, rather than the white.
