    Default EPP

There was a recent thread about English Paper Piecing so I was curious and went to the Paper Pieces website.
Question: why are the acrylic templates offered with 2 different seam allowances (1/4 and 3/8")? Is it personal preference or is there another reason?

To the world you may be one person. But to one person you may be the world.

Having a 3/8" seam allowance gives you some wiggle room for turning in case you need a bit of straightening for a motif. Others, like Sue Daley say 1/4" can be too much. I get the 3/8" templates because I figure I need the wiggle room. And it has helped! i have no trouble turning sharp corner, and on curved pieces you clip the curve anyway.
