    I have a stand by runner.. lay out 18 5" squares 3 in a row 6 rows., Sew together. place batting behind and quilt. My stand by are fancy stitches from corner to corner . Trim batting. Fold remaining 24 5' squares in half and half again for prairie points. place 4 on each end and 8 on each side. Baste. Layer with backing leaving an opening for turning.

    I found confetti fabric and it worked perfect with my grunge fabric.

    I made this quilt using a charm pack and 8 squares for the center star. There was 1/2 a yard used for each of the other colors.

    Also, have you tried Modabakeshop.com? They have a marvelous site of projects for charm packs as well as other precuts.
