    Nancy, I love your reversible runner...great job! There's a product called Thread Heaven and you run your hand sewing thread across it and it strengthens your thread by coating it with something that makes it glide through the fabric. Of course it won't fix rotten or defective thread, but it's a Godsend for hand sewing. You can get it at your local quilt shop or online...it costs about $3 and lasts a LONG time. Hugs, Barb

    Isn't that practical?? Love your runner. As for the breaking thread, maybe it was a Monday morning thread.

    I have something that might be similar, I think it's wax. I pull the thread thru and it really glide a lot better. But as you say it doesn't fix rotten thread. But it could be that by pulling the thread too much it could break. So "waying" might help.

    Your table runner came out sooooo cute. you did such a great job. I have had problems with some thread myself--the coats brand.

    I'm about to make a Heart Block for a Pillow for a friend who just had Triple Bypass.
    I heard they get a HEART pillow after Surgery.
    Huuummmmmm......
    I thought!....Soooo why not make him one, from one Heart to another ?!?!

    Love the idea of a two sided runner, and the runner you made is darling! Seems like those special occasions come fast and leave quickly, then we have to put away our pretty decorations! Now, you just need to turn yours over! Great idea!
