Have not seen one of these in years
Hop in my car to make a quick trip into town (5 mins) for milk I get 1/2 way up the road and see something on my window out of the corner of my eye. Pulled over to take this pic. Told him (I know silly me) to hang on we were on a milk run and would be back home in 5 mins. He hung with me the whole time and I took 2nd pic when I got home. Made my day!

Re: Have not seen one of these in years
Wow, so funny. I hadn't seen one in years either and the other day I saw one on the side of the house. I watched him for awhile and then the mailman came along and when I got back, he was gone. But he was bigger than I remember....but than again, it's been years since I've seen one. Thanks for sharing.

Love Praying Mantis! We had one visit a bird bath and it spent over half an hour primping and having a spa treatment. Fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

Not me! I don't like them at all since I was stung by one as a child. It was on my bicycle handlebar and I didn't realize it. Hurt like crazy! A few years back, a pod of them hatched into our den from our live Christmas tree! It was like a horror movie for me.

I didn't know a praying mantis would bite you. eww For weeks Sandy was catching Cicada bugs and trying to sneak them in the house (yes alive). They are huge bugs. She would have this real innocent look on her face and wings hanging out her mouth. Try getting one of those out of a dogs mouth. Thank God the pest service came last week.

I found a dead one after a frost and my little nephew used it for show and tell!
