    Default California fires

Say a prayer for the people in California.
Over 20 fires burning, 21 dead, 150 missing.
Not rural, burning in large cities/neighborhoods.
So smoky. Pray for the firefighters!

We are praying. My daughter and my two grandchildren live there. So far they are okay but their air quality is awful. This is so tragic....my heart goes out to everyone affected by the fires.

    Fires and floods, so devastating.
Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

The worlds gone crazy! Hurricanes, floods, fires, etc. So many suffering, hurting people. Adding them to my prayers too.

My son and his family moved about a year ago from that area. According to the map, the fire is about 1-2 miles from their former home. My daughter-in-law's sister had to evacuate, and I'm not sure about her parents but they own a vineyard and actually have a home there. The fire appears to be very close there too - it's a long, winding country road to get there so I truly hope they have evacuated too. Her brother is a fire fighter so I'm sure he's fighting the fires somewhere. So very scary! Prayers for everyone! Please stay safe.

Thanks Terry, I'm about 2 hours away. I know lots of people who
    had to evacuate.

I flew out of San Jose Tues. night. You circle and climb before obtaining the needed altitude and continuing en route. Anyway, on the second circle you could easily see the fires. The most startling thing was their size, and the fact that enormous areas N. of San Francisco and highway 80 were totally without power. It was pitch black, no city lights, absolute darkness except where it was burning.
