Default First go at disappearing fourpatch

Hi all! I'm a subscriber of the FatQuarterShop's Sew Sampler Box and the last one had a pattern that didn't really interest me, at least not with the charm pack also in the box. The charm pack was lovely though and had nicely contrasting colours, so I decided to FINALLY try my hand at the disappearing fourpatch. I re-watched Jenny's tutorial and gave it a go! The result is a baby blanket for friends who hare having their third baby soon, the idea is to give them this as a floor blanket and a bigger and more rectangular one for the pram or bed.

It was a fun block to make and a quick quilt to finish (of course) which was nice since I'm in the middle of oh... Five or so bigger ones at the moment lol.

Very nice. The D4P is one of my favorite quilts to make. I found the contrasting fabric at M* during the Fall Forum Retreat, that I needed to make one for me to use in my bedroom.

That is one lucky baby to be surrounded with all that love!

That is lovely! I really like the D4P for cute baby quilts. I made one on point that turned out really cute! Gets you focused on accuracy and nesting seams, when I was making my first one, I finally grasped that concept because there were a lot of seams to match!

Is your fabric from my favorite designers, Bonnie and Camille? I have so many fabrics from their collections!

    They are indeed!

I started with nesting them but in the end I just ironed them open - I don't mind the pinning and I could never get them to nest "right" after the turnarounds! I'll have to give that another go.
