Monopoly Quilt Top Completed

I had several people at the Fall Forum Retreat ask me to post pics of the Monopoly quilt top when I finished it. I put the last seam in tonight. I need to sandwich and figure out how I want it quilted.





This top is extra special because Bernice (Stitching Woman) and Jean (JeanSewingMachine) put in a seam or two while we were at the Fall Forum Retreat.

I've been curious to see this one after reading several posts where it was mentioned. Now I can see why the girls were so excited about it. It's wonderful, brings back lots of childhood memories of marathon Monopoly games.

Yeah, it's wonderful. Well worth all the work. Maybe quilt it with train engines? Or rectangles to represent the money?

Sandy Navas is checking into digitizing the Monopoly tokens and then I could get it quilted in rows of tokens. I think that would be super neat, but dollar signs would be a great idea if the tokens don't work out.

And yes it is much bigger than I was expecting. I'm going to find a quilt rack to hang it on the wall in my bedroom. I think it will have to be folded to fit into the space that I have for it.
