Default In the Hoop Patchwork Tote

For those of you with embroidery machines, this is a really cool project!

I keep thinking of other ways to use the squares.

Lorie, that is a cute tote. I love Sweet Pea designs. Have made several of them. I have some I bought and haven't tried yet.

I thought of an idea. I have some indigo fabric and this reminds me of Sashiko. Wouldn't that be pretty?

Lorie that would look awesome! What color will you use for the thread? Can't wait to see it.

Traditionally it should be white. Can't buck tradition. lol

I get my cast off Friday. I can't hold a fork right now much less hoop something. It's going on my short list as soon as I can!

Lorie, I think the indigo fabric would be beautiful...you know I bought a couple of charm packs of Moda Shibori II that would be perfect. I might have to think about making this tote. Hope that you get that cast off and can get back to sewing SOON. Show us a picture of your tote when you get it finished.

Now I'm wondering if using charm square would work for this tote. I just sent a question to Sweet Pea about that. I'll let you know if I hear back.

I think it would work great! I have it in a layer cake and have a quilt pattern picked out, something simple to keep most of the print.
