    Default What I thought....

was going to be a small renovating project has turned into a monster.

My quilting room is actually a lean-to that was added to the house and then was enclosed. Since we've lived here it has been a hot tub room, a storage room, a computer room, a party/bar room and a shop. For the last several years it has been my quilting room. Well I decided it was time to fix it.

Put up some drywall and throw some paint on it...maybe add a light or two.

NOOOO.....drywall, add more insulation, remove 7 windows, add electric outlets, add lights, paint the room, paint the floor (it's cement)....and whatever else needs done. We only have about 1/2 of it finished.

I am having some serious quilting withdrawals. I have a couple of quilts that I started quilting and didn't like the stitch....so I am now picking that stitching out. Those just kept getting pushed to the back burner...so maybe they'll be ready to quilt when my room is ready.

Just keep in mind how nice it's going to be when it's finished. Keep persevering.

Sending you a giant jar of patience and a tub of anti-procrastination jelly, as well as a box of expedient husband enhancement.

I am looking forward to seeing the finished pictures. I wonder if any house project ever stays in the size, budget and timeline that it thought to be.

Sandy, can I get some of that expedient husband enhancement?
If you can't see the mistake from the back of a galloping horse, nobody is going to notice it.
