Default Jean did sent me home with some fabric last spring.......

After making 4 memoryquilts I wanted to make something with "real" fabric. Jean had given me a super cute panel and I could not wait to start on that one. It will be a wallhanging for my sewingroom.
I love how it turned out, took a while to find the right color for border, I am not a huge green fan so I needed something to match the cartoonlike patterns in the panel. It is so fun and colorful now.

My Janome 1600 is at the shop to get cleaned and stuff, so I need to wait to quilt it.
Does any of you have tips on how to quilt those blocks? I am not a freemotion quilting kind a girl, no idea how my machine works on that, I believe Anika has the same type machine (my pfaff) and she does wonderful FMQ, but I have no clue how???

    Hope you like the top

PS: Sorry for the super bad lighting on the 2 close-ups, looks real green/yellowisch, it is dark early so no natural light

That is so pretty. I love the way you put the panel together with the pinwheel.
Blankets wrap you in warmth, quilts wrap you in love

Really cute! I would stitch in the ditch around the squares and the pinwheels; you could cross-hatch in the outer border.

Anika is like an expert, so we can't copy her quilting. But as someone pretty new to fmq I like angelawaters video in meandering flowers. It is pretty easy

Lovely color choices. I am currently really liking grid quilting.
