The teachers are making some basic hygiene kits with toothbrush toothpaste, hairbrush, wipes etc. In addition to them collecting school supplies to replace what they have lost. Its going to depend on what they are able to collect lots of stores did not survive the flooding or do not have employees right now to reopen.

My niece that works at the junior high said most of their kids did not have much to start with and the teachers have always kept supplies on hand to assist them that they are just doing it on a more massive scale. Her sister who lives a couple hours away plans to do most of the shopping for them or collection of goods then bring it to the school once the roads are passible.

They were going to put the kits in plastic bags I was just thinking it might be nice to have something a little more decorative to get it in. I will go check some of these out, trying to talk a few friends into helping my out.
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.

    Very simple sewing.
