    Hi All,
This is Joan's husband. Joan did well in surgery. Both surgeons were satisfied with the surgery. saw her after the surgery. She was awake and alert. She can't speak because of the trach, and off-course she got upset with me because I had trouble reading her lips (the nurse said it was a guy thing like not listening, and Joan shook her head in agreement), which tells me she is in good shape. If she didn't get I upset I would be worried.

Joan may not be online for 4 or 5 days, but I will send updates.

Thanks for your support, Joan and I appreciates its.
    Ray

    Hi
I am glad she is doing ok.

Give her lots of love from her forum friends !

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.
