Carlie, look thru your stash and see if you can't piece a back, then try your thrift store for a mattress pad for the batting. They make a nice thick quilt!

My project for the summer was using up my stash so I worked on things for the 2 craft fairs coming up. Literally all my batting and muslin pieces are gone. I don't even have enough to do another placemat!! batting or backing LOL

Judy USMC has kindly offered to purchase the batting and backing for me. She doesn't have time to do piecing right now and very much wanted to participate in auntiemern's project. This works wonderfully for both of us So it appears we are all set!!!

Well the slow part certainly fits me, but not so sure about the steady part. I'm kind of streaky. Have a social thing today, but I have the rest of the strip sets sewn, so maybe tonight I will sit down and start that snowballing.

Isn't it awesome when we all work together, helping each other out. Puts my faith back in humanity.:

Here's a tutorial for putting together blocks that are already quilted. Its done by machine and really just uses a sashing strip on the front and back. I've used this method and like it. I just thought this quilting method would save you from always having to come up with all the batting and backing.
