Default Don't you hate it when....

You order a book and it's being made into a movie and now all over TV telling the whole story. Geesh

I'm supposed to get the Glass Castle tomorrow. I hope to still like reading it, but won't be able to get Woody Harrelson out of my head.

You mean like waiting years for the last book in Game of Thrones and its already on tv before the book is finished? Yeah. The author has lost some fans over that one.

Well that's not good. I don't get HBO, but did buy the first season and never finished it. I might try Ebay for some used ones one of these days.

I saw part of the first season. Not interested in seeing any more.

I agree. I have seen a lot of movies based on books. But there is just way too much advertising. I'll admit I found the book by watching TV, but didn't expect so much of it.

I gave up because there was so many people in the story lines. I had a hard time paying attention.

No problem with the story line. Don't need the borderline porn. One of the biggest reasons I stopped watching tv years ago.

Years ago we watched a movie that was made from a book that I had read. Of course, during the movie I kept commenting.....that's not the way it happened in the book. I said this several times......and then our son thought he would be funny and said......Well Mom, why don't we just jam the book in the VCR. Our son & DH laughed for the longest after that comment......and it still comes up form time to time.

Books are always better than the movies.........except maybe To Kill A Mockingbird.

If you can get the book "Half Broke Horses" by same author read it first as it explains a lot of how the people in Glass Castle came about. They can't possibly make the movie as good as the book .
