    Hi Steffe,

Greeting from the Green Emerald island of Ireland. I started off the same as you 2 years ago now. I always been making the kids clothes so was handy in sewing but just wanted to do something new and quilting looked a good way to spent your free time. My first quilt was rubbish but i was proud of it. Now i am a few quilts further and they look quite well...and straight!
I learned a lot here at the forum and many quilters here are very experienced and no question is too difficult for them and everybody is extremely nice.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes! I will definitely post progress photos and final photos of the projects I'm working on So far, I've only cut 3 of the 7 colorways for the Tessellation pattern. It really isn't so bad now that I'm cutting it. Just a lot of unique blocks. I don't think any two will be the same!

I had to look up what a tessellation quilt was. Very pretty. I think I have actually done one. I love that you are going after what you like. I think it I have always loved it since I did well in mechanical drawing. Have fun and post it when you are done. This may be a fractual quillt but I will leave it here for you. My design and had a blast making it. . Click image for larger version.
