    Talking Hoosier Newbie Quilter!

    Hello everyone!

I've been bitten by the quilt bug! I've been watching a bunch of YouTube vids, and enjoying the Missouri Quilt ones - thus discovering the site, and this forum. My machine is a Singer Stylist from the 70s - quite a heavy duty little thing that hasn't been used for more than a decade. So last week, I had it serviced at my very cool nearby quilt shop - it's in great shape and ready to go. Purchased a jelly roll and am in the process of gathering supplies, but won't be starting until I return from a looming vacation.

Looking forward to gleaning info, fun, and friendship from this group ... So excited!

Hello and another so cal welcome! Couple of years or so ago I bought a budget machine (had not sewn for many years and wasn't sure I would even sew for very long)... well one simple tree skirt tutorial by Jenny and I was hooked! I have upgraded once and saving for another one down the road. Just all the pretty fabric does tend to pull from the machine piggy bank.
