    Default Deceptive Appearances & Frustration

Seemingly simple took forever. What was tricky turned out to be really easy.
Basting spray is not working as expected and I am frustrated.

Prettier, I love all of your blocks. No help on basting spray though. I think of you as an expert on all things quilty

I like the book block. Are you going to use it like the bird one, lots of fun fabrics with just books?

I use that same spray basting and have never had a problem with it. I do put the backing on first and Iron it batting side down then flip it and then do the top and then lightly press it with the iron. You do need to be consistent with your spray making it even so you don't leave unsprayed spots.
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.

Your blocks are all lovely, regardless of the difficulty, but I understand the frustration. I can't help with the spray - I always pin baste. l did one or two quilts early on that I used basting spray, but I just didn't like it.

Try the 505 spray baste. It's much better! It may cost a little more, but no frustration compared to some of the other brands.

Preeti , the book block is great, and the exploding blocks are the story it holds. They are lovely. I posted basting spray questions recently and came away with two bits of information.
    1. After spraying turn can upside down and spray until tube and nozzle are cleared.
    2. 505 is good brand.
