Red face Absent for most of the Year but kept busy with Mermaids

I have not been on the forum for quite some time. It has been a busy year with a graduating son, hand surgery, a new puppy and some other hiccups. All of December I was recovering from hand surgery and quilting was challenging so I worked on making around 15 mermaid and 1 wineglass quilt. I am now working on a Vintage Rose that I have only posted in my profile since it isn't done, along with some of the other projects of 2016! Hope everyone has a great summer!!!

Lucy, it's good to hear from you again. Your mermaids are adorable! So glad that your hand has healed and hope you get back to lots more quilting. Your quilts are always beautiful.

Lucy, funny you should ask about the Judy Neimeyer. The subject just came up. I haven't done anymore on it (Desert Sky), but am going to try to get a good part of it done and take it with me to a retreat I'm going to in November. Hoping I can get it finished there. Paper piecing is not my thing, but this will be such a beautiful quilt when done. I still have the other one (Prismatic Star) to do, too. What was I thinking. Wish mine would turn out as beautiful as yours!

Yours will be beautiful when finished Judy's patterns are wonderful and they are exciting to finish after working long and hard on them!! Looking forward to seeing your finished product!! I am almost finished with the Vintage Rose pattern and then I will be doing another Sunflower Illusions for our guild to raffle. I won best of show last October for my Fire Island Hosta Queen, so my reward is to make the raffle quilt for 2018's show, lol! It was fun to win, but I wasn't in town at the time because of a class reunion... Happy summer to you!!
