Awww sweet! I use the pillowcases on my guest bed whenever I can. I have some old "cutters" I plan to someday use in a quilt or something. I LOVE all vintage textiles, tablecloths, doilies, antimacassar scarves. I don't have the room I used to have for storage, and have weeded out some of my less favs in our downsizing. I think what I really love about this stuff is that it's such a dying art. Most all this stuff is done on machine, and the craft of embroidery etc. isn't being passed on any longer. Kinda sad.....

My DH Terry's grandma Mable would be crying her eyes out......She used to give me Tatted and pillowcases made with beautiful embroidery...with a little note "Please use these.....they weren't meant to stay folded up in a cedar chest." .....I did use them, and years later when the cases grew old, my MIL took the lace off the cases and put it on new ones for me......

WOW...I would have loved to have gotten those cases....( to use of course ) ....but USE them any way you see fit Sandy!

Wow!! What a deal!! Sounds like a good plan with the embroidered pieces.
