    Default Oxford Fabric?

So I found a tub of oxford fabric from back in my garment sewing days. Nice soft pastels, but I think might be partially polyester?? ,but not sure. Nice weight fabric, it seems. My question is has anyone made a quilt with this type of fabric? Does anyone think it would work? I think it would be very soft and pretty for a baby quilt. Most of the pieces are too small for any shirts, but plenty big enough to combine together for some quilts. Help?

Of course it would work, even if there's polyester in it. There is no law says quilts HAVE to be made of cotton only.

Just because I am not one of the sheep, it does not mean I must be a wolf.

In this day and age we have WAY too many people, WAY too sensitive about WAY too many things and taking something that only deserves a "ho hum" response as a slight against themselves personally.

Thinking is difficult. That's why most people judge.

I would use poly cotton. A lot of Hawaiian fabrics are made from it and it holds it's color really well. I mean if you wear it why not?

I think it would be fine. Oxford is durable and it does come in some pretty pastel colors.

Thanks for all the encouragement! I was wrapping and rolling all morning and dreaming of the quilt tops to come! I will start with a baby one, but I found a gorgeous blue and teal one this morning that might be a big quilt someday soon!
