    Fabric doll house

    Thanks so much to Jean for sending me the panels to make this. I had wanted to finish 2 of these for the birthday girl, but time got away from me, so I'll give her this one tonight, and I have another that is just about finished.
    I need to add some buttons (the little loops attached to the roof will go around them) before the party tonight - I love how cute it is!! Thanks again, Jean

                    Absolutely adorable. Wondering if the last 'animal' in the last picture is a a wolf with his tongue sticking out.

                    Too, too durned cute!

                            Re: Fabric doll house

                            Thank you all for the kind comments The house was quite a hit at the party, and got passed around so the adults could look at it...
                            Sandy - yes, that is the wolf next to Little Red Riding Hood

                            Mimi - There are some of these panels on ebay - there are no instructions. I did email the designer, and she did reply, giving me a few tips, but not able to offer instructions (seems like she is not involved in fabric anymore ).

                            For the figures, I just used coordinating colors for the backs and sewed on the stitch line, leaving the bottom open.
                            I stuffed them with polyester stuffing in the head and neck, then used crushed walnuts in the lower half to give them a bit of weight in the hand. I put a tiny piece of stuffing at the bottom to make it easier to close.
                            For the house;
                            I combined the cutting tips from here: http://www.everkelly.com/2012/07/fre...ouse-download/ (these instructions are only for a 'stuffed' soft house, but the cutting instructions are the same that you would use to make an open house...
                            then I took construction ideas from here: http://uklassinus.blogspot.com/2008/...-tutorial.html
                            Now, you could of course just use that tutorial and create a fun house - she also did a barn that is way too cute!

                            Don't know if y'all need all this info, but it's here if you want!!
