    Default Another Tonga mess

I guess I'll learn my lesson sooner or later. I bought Timeless Treasures Tonga Treats in Jamboree. I got them out to start working on Katie's quilt (Cutting the 10"squares into 4 sets of 5" squares. I thought it was going to be a simple process. Boy was I fooled. The pieces are so out of square! I'm having to trim up every block individually, mainly because it is for my niece and I want it to be right!)

It's probably the last time I buy Tonga Treats from Timeless Treasures!

Whats the point in buying precuts if you have to RE-cut them?

Use those long scraps for corded basket to match the quilt :-)

I love precuts because of the variety of fabric. And I have lots of them. However it does get annoying when a pack is not cut right. But it seems a battle we will never win.

This pack had the colors Lexie wanted and Aunt Katrina will cut and cut to make it right for one of her 5 favorite nieces. ;-)

I guess it's more about this being the second time I've gotten burned with Tonga Treats... I used one of their 'free' patterns for my grandson's quilt, and had nothing but problems with the measurements and blocks being out of whack.

I don't like TT for that very reason. Moda's are usually pretty good.

That just had to be so frustrating. You're doing a great job anyway.

Never used their pre-cuts but I once bought a Tonga Treats fat quarter bundle. It looked so nice in the package until I opened it! I thought that the person who put that collection together must have been missing a few cylinders. The colors and prints were awful. It was the ugliest quilt I ever made but my GD's dog loves it.

oooh glad you said something, I'll put Nancy on it, she is our superstar at getting the different vendors to play nice and produce a great product. She'll get to the bottom of this!

    Thank you thank you!

No worries! It's not M*'s fault. I wrote them a note last night on their contact form! We'll see what their excuse is this time. ;-)
