Forum Friends-Sandy Navas
I was such a lucky girl yesterday! My hubby and I got to spend the day with Sandy Navas and her sweet hubby Al. For those of you that don't know, Al is an incredibly smart man and a wonderful teacher. Oh, Sandy's pretty cool too!
They invited us into their home to let me play on their long arm! Oh what fun we had! And I learned a lot too, I really want a long arm now! Al taught me how to run it and I quilted (Al did most of it) a baby quilt. It turned out so nice. All I need to do is trim and bind it. I'll take pics as soon as I'm done (probably this weekend) and post them.
Al also helped me learn my Silhouette Cameo machine too. I can't wait to start cutting fabric for applique.
We had such a wonderful time, I love my forum friends!

Glad to hear you had an informative and fun visit. Sounds like Al has an admirer ...
Oh, and I think Sandy is pretty cool too - even when Al isn't with her. (giggles)

If I ever get a Sandy playdate like this, I will bring her homemade smoked salmon!! I met Al last September, but he was sick and so was I and it was short and sweet. Isn't their house cute?

I love Sandy and Al, like they are family. I consider Sandy one of bestest friends. Al truly is a brilliant man, ans Sandy is pretty danged smart too. They are such a lovely couple. I am so happy they were able to move into a house that was much smaller, that that huge monstrosity they had. (Although I am sure she misses the elevator sometimes, I am so glad you go to have a great day with them.
