Default Easy layer cake quilt... and possible scrap buster

I bought a "landscape" layer cake, one with pictures of textures, rocks, bricks, wood, water, etc.. Thinking maybe it would look better with just snowballing the corners? Plus leftovers can make a pillow too.

And... even though she uses a layer cake, the squares behind the middle one could be used with scraps. Scrap buster maybe?

basically 3 sizes of pieces.. 2-1/2 squares, 4-1/2 squares and 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 rectangles. Block size comes out to 12-1/2 inches.

Thanks for the links, was looking for a pattern for my GS using some of his favourite colours and the first one may just fit the bill.

I like this. I love the masculine looking fabric in that first video.

I adore the "layer it up" quilt pattern (second link) and have decided "THIS IS THE ONE" . I have a layer cake just crying to be made up like this. Everyone get out of my way I'm off to my sewing room

The layer it up pattern looks like a cousin to falling charms! Love these kind of patterns. Thanks for the post.
