I'm going to be rearranging my sewing room on Saturday. I won an eBay auction for one of those cute little trapezoid sewing tables for my Rocketeer and now I have to fit it into the sewing room! Then on Sunday I'm taking a Featherweight Maintenance class that I'm really looking forward to.

I'm going to finish my sisters quilt this weekend if it kills me! All I have left is straight line quilting on the borders, the binding. I need to get it finished because I red to get my machine in for annual maintenance and since it will be a few weeks before I get her back & I'll have house guests next weekend and tge weekend after tgat, if I get her in by this Mondsy, she might be back by the time I have a free weekend again .

Crashed and burned on trying Angela Walters Ribbon Candy wavy variation. It was much harder on an actual quilt than drawing it on paper. I couldn't see where I needed to go. I am sticking with it is better to have tried and failed than to never have tried at all. I carefully analyzed where I went wrong (oh so many different ways) and I will do better with the next new motif I try. I should not try to bite off more than I can chew and I was definitely not ready for this yet.

The rest of the quilt is looking pretty cool so far. I will keep on sewing.

Well I failed to get the two baby quilts done for the shower today. However, shower has been postponed because the twins decided they want to come to the party. Mom and babies are doing great. Getting the backing fabrics ready for the quilts and hope to longarm them before the Super Bowl. Also trying to use up some of my 2 1/2 inch squares, since the bin is over flowing.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

I bought a 1/4 inch foot for my machine yesterday. I'll need it for the half square triangle quilt that I am about to start cutting out. Hope it works on my machine...if not I can return it.

I started cleaning out kitchen cabinets yesterday. Ever start something you wish you hadn't ?

I wanted to make a quilt different from my usual. I found Pat Sloan's (free) Be my neighbor quilt. I have all the blocks made and I am putting sashing on today. The piecing was a lot of fun. Thinking about echo quilting around each house . .
