Grey Lady, I started with two layer cakes (Moda Folklore) and a jelly roll (also Moda Folklore). Then, I ordered about 10-12 different coordinating solid fabrics. I learned I really only needed one layer cake. I will use the jelly roll and some of the solids to make the strips (65) needed for this quilt.

I bought the book a while ago and am still trying to get my courage up to make the quilt. I just love it! Yours is so beautiful, maybe it will inspire me to start that next!

I did end up with a ton of scraps, so I paper pieced using scraps some blocks instead of making some Square in a Square blocks.

Did you get it finished? I'm working on two at once also, different colors and going off reservation on some of it also, replaced some of the pattern blocks with some favorite star blocks etc.

    I'm impressed.
