    Default Finished my practise piece

    Hi

I managed to finish all the fmq on my practise piece before my machine brook.

I had major withdrawal so I dug out my old small little machine and attached the binding with it.

I will not do any fmq on it because it is so small. But it will do to sew patch work on.

It will be a month before I have enough money to take my machine to the shop to be fixed so know I at least have something to sew on. It took some time to get used to lift the presser foot with a lever again.

Giii, I certainly have been spoiled rotten with my fancy machine.

    Here are pictures.

I can not decide which side I will have as a front side. The white or the grey.

I am so in love with the Isacord Thread!! What a difference it made.

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

I cannot fmq worth anything, mine looks completely awful, but yours looks just great to me. In fact I hardly think you need to practice at all. Sorry about your broken machine!

That's really cool. I've been wanting to try to do a whole cloth quilt. I just don't know where to start with a design.

That is beautiful, Annika!! Do you know anyone that might loan you a bigger machine until you get yours fixed?
You don't have to choose a front side - it's reversible!!!

Start in the middle and work your way out.

Oh No, Annika! I'm so sorry your machine broke because we are SEW looking forward to your posts with pics of your progress. I hope that you are able to find a replacement/loaner machine for a bit until your machine s fixed. Your work is so inspiring. How big is your practice piece?

Great job, I think you are already a professional, I like both sides although the white looks cleaner, after seeing all his precious works I think I am going to try it too
