Pam that is just absolutely amazing, you are a true gifted artist and that quilt just blows my mind. It is so beautiful. I can only imagine All the work that you put into it. I am glad you are keeping it for yourself! You would for sure win a ribbon if you entered that in a competition or state fair.

What a beautiful quilt and your free motion practices are fabulous. Congrats on an excellent job with both. I was lucky enough to meet, do a workshop, see trunk show and spend time with Irene Blanck of Australia who does beautiful appliqué quilts and your quilt reminds me of hers. I started one of her patterns in the workshop and she gave me another for helping out with her presentation. I can only hope that I can do her justice as you have done with your quilt.

And yes, it is truly beautiful!
I am dying to know why Edyta named it Common Bride. I have emailed and asked her, haven't gotten a reply yet (just sent that yesterday). I love her designs and fabric so much it's like a cult. Those flower block are repeated in several of her quilts, like the Schoolhouse quilt - basting that today, blergh. Her stuff is so wonderfully scrappy, I just love it. She does a lot with 2 1/2" HSTs, calls them friendship triangles, I've made about a million of them. Hmmmm - sounds like a good idea for a group swap!

Thanks again for all the sweet comments!

If at first you don't succeed, try doing it the way your mom told you to in the first place

I second what everyone has said, that is beautiful! I can't imagine how many hours you've invested. You should be very proud of yourself, you've done an amazing job! I agree, quilting is definitely my therapy also. There is something so satisfying watching a project come together.
