    3 yards of fabric quilts

I purchased three fabrics, one yard each. I want to make a throw quilt. Nothing complicated. I realize I will have to purchase backing. What tutorial/quilt would be good for this? I have a black with a pattern, off white with a pattern and a black with colors that match the other two fabrics.

Thanks for your thoughts in advance!

I did not have a pattern but did this with about that much fabrics. Cut 2 into 2 1/2 in strips. Make strip sets and sub cut into 6 1/2 inch sets and 2 1/2 inch sets. This is for sashing and four patch cornerstones. Third fabric is cut into 6 1/2 inch squares Sorry I don't have a picture of the finished quilt I did but you can see as you lay it out.

You should be able to make all kinds of things. You can do just a simple 4 patch or a 16 patch. You could use the white as sashing . Maybe look at the lattice quilt. You can cut 2 of your fabrics into hst and then use the other one for the sashing. Its a fun pattern to make.

Pinwheels would be pretty. Use two of the fabrics for the pinwheels and the third for the borders.

Preeti, that is a really cute quilt. I really like the combination of fabrics. I have a great grandbaby due in July and the mama to be is going to do the nursery in a giraffe theme. I am going to make a giraffe quilt. Where did you get that really adorable giraffe fabric?

I believe that is Michael Miller Giraffe Love. May be from Amazon or fabric.com.

I ended up making a disappearing 9patch. I only have the top done so far. Thank you for all the ideas. It was very helpful and I did find the idea through the suggestions.

What great ideas, I have so many 1 and 2 yards in my stash that I bought because I liked the fabric when I first started quilting.
