I love the swirly swirls. It was JCY who posted this video of the design I used. The section that he calls the "seagull" and later the "hook echo" is what I consider the secret ingredient of this design. Sewing on a domestic machine, I didn't go completely edge to edge. I started in the middle of the quilt and did 1/4 of the quilt at a time. I did a lot of "fluffing" the quilt around the needle to keep the weight of the quilt from making it hard to move it under the needle. I have a nice amount of open space to the left and to the back of my machine. There were times when a good part of the quilt was in my lap, too!
