Default question about a white marking pencil

I have one of those white marking pencils that has a little stiff brush on the other end. Do I HAVE to try to brush it out when I am done sewing or will it come out in the wash? Of course I don't have the thing it came in to read the directions if it had any.

If I recall right it can be erased (I think that's what the brush is for).I think it will wash out,but you might want someone else to second that.

I had one of those a long time ago. I used it for marking darts. I haven't a clue either I guess.

When in doubt, test it out! Mark and stitch on a test piece, and put it through the washer,

I use chalk all the time and it always washes out. I don't use that little brush but I think it is for when you are marking something and you make a mistake then you can just remove the boo boos and re-mark without washing the whole piece.

Things can change if you iron over them too.
I'm turning into a chacoliner snob. I love that thing. It makes a nice, easy to see line that sticks around while I quilt. If I make a mistake, I can erase it with a few swipes of a fingernail or a damp finger. It comes in several colors for different fabrics.
It's making my Fons & Porter marking pencil jealous.
