Somewhere in the annals of the site is a thread started by someone that Snippet aka Carol added a link to an interactive map that she started to. I am dropping that link here and sticking the thread so that we can find it in the future. If you are new, old or in between and haven't yet added your location to the map, join in. It is a fun to see where everyone is.

Re: Snippet's map of where we all are.
I just updated my location, but it won't let me remove the wrong one. I guess if you are going to drop in for a visit, you will either end up at my house, or sitting in the middle of the road on the way to the State Park!
The park is pretty cool, so I guess it isn't a total loss!Be who you are and say what you feel

Thanks to the genius mind that put this together! I am curious, is there a computer smarty out there who can tell us which state has the most members? I don't know how to pull statistics off a map but I bet someone does.Jocelyn

- The map isn't all the members of the forum. It's only those who wanted to put a pin where they live. A while back, I went through the forum member list and added members who had their location in their profile - but there are over 10,000 members so I just added those members with at least 500 posts. So some are user-entered and some I entered. But not everyone is on that map.
- I'm about to leave for a cruise this week and don't have the time to pull the data and give you a state breakdown. If you really want to know about the members, it would be better to pull the data from the forum. I don't think that capability exists though.

You are absolutely amazing that you would go to the trouble to do this for us. Thank you for that. And enjoy your cruise.

Re: Snippet's map of where we all are.
Not sure you were ever responded to regarding adding yourself to the map. I just found it this morning. Really interesting.
go to the site https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=1253169
In the top ribbon click on Addition and follow the brief instruction. That's it. If you want to view your entry, it will be in the right hand sidebar in alpha order. If you want to see it on the map, drag the map to where you roughly are and then use the + sign below the map on the right hand side to enlarge it to where you can clearly see the teardrop indicator. Hover over the "teardrop indicator on the map" and that should be you!“Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.” ― John Muir
