Lou, sorry to hear about your grandmother. Glad you at least were able to visit with her before you returned home. Love the jackets you created.

Re: WIP - 8/9/16 - Any time is quilting time
Almost there! I got side tracked when that darn stomach virus came back and got me again. It was even worse the second time around. It got my DH too. I was too sick to do precision work so I made a string quilt when I started to recover. Then I had a major loss of confidence when it was time to attach the big circle to the outer frame. After reviewing all the possible options I decided to try freezer paper for stability. It was nerve wracking, but it worked
This is my first time ever sewing a complete circle, all as one piece.

Now I just need to add a border. Not sure if I will use the fabric in the kit or use a Jinny Beyer border fabric.

I completed another set of 6 placemats. These are for my daughter. I have a friend making custom block printed napkins to go with them - daughter doesn't know about those!

This is really nice, but then all your quilts are. I'm certain your friend will appreciate this and the supportive sentiments that come with it. Kathy

RockinLou,
Saw the jacket and hoodie you made. Really nice. Like that sherpa minky too. Going to be making jackets for the GS's 2&3 later this month. Being that we live in S.W. Fla,they will probably wear the "fall" jackets into the winter,so no chance of using that nice sherpa minky. Have a good day, evening, night whatever it is were you are. kathy

Lou, so very sorry about your Grandmother. How blessed both of you were that you could spend a day with her that both of you remember. We never know what God's timing is, but He does. May you feel a peace about your Grandmother's passing. I loved seeing your finishes. The wall hanging is lovely, and the jacket and hoodie are both so fun!

The runner is lovely! I always keep a quilted runner on the table, it feels less messy to me that way! This one is fun, great fabric choices!
