Awesome. Those colors are not so bad, the bacground was a perfect choice.

That is stunning! Was this easy? I have always wanted to try one but that angle frightens me.

It is just a 45 degree angle, very easy to go together. The challenge is you are working with all bias edges, so there is a wonk factor to contend with. I was able to keep that under control, although I did have some edges that needed taming! I think the biggest challenge is not to have fullness in the middle when you assemble all the blocks or you will get a B CUP in the center!

16 strips for the star, 1 yard of background fabric, about 10 strips for the piano key border. I had one of those 24 strip Big Lots jelly rolls, then found part of another one, so I'm not exactly sure how many I really ended up using. A regular jelly roll would be plenty.

    It's 52" square.

I had those same jelly rolls from BigLots and your quilt is much more beautiful than the jelly roll roll race quilt I made. I love the solid yellow!

I love this - is this what you're going to teach us to do? I'll take mine without the B cup, thanks!

Yes, but we will be making a smaller one for our first star.
