Thank you! But I want to give credit to the right person. All the fabrics, and the combinations, were made by Izzy (Isadora), who is my step-granddaughter, and the recipient of the finished quilt. I gave her free reign of my fat quarter stash, and she chose the fabrics for the cats. Then we went into the rest of my stash for the fabrics for the snails. I think her choices are awesome, and I don't know that I would have done as well.

Oh Denise, I've just ordered an S16 and you are scaring me!!! I used a mechanical machine most of my life so I'm hoping I can handle it! Thanks for the warning. I knew there'd be a learning curve!! I'll be prepared to crawl on the floor!

I got the next Sweet Tooth block done in two colorways. The block is named Lollipop. This was a very challenging block. I had to do some serious stretching and fudging to get the points to match.

Sylvia, I think IZZY is a natural! Denise, My DH and I were just looking at the Singer S16 online. Looks like a fantastic machine. Just a learning curve there and before you know it you will be pumping out those beautiful quilts you always make with IT!

I've spent the past 2 1/2 hours sewing in peace. lovely.

My niece's quilt is really coming along! I've sewn in bits and pieces here and there over the past 2 weeks whenever 20 minutes or so presented itself. I spent about an hour today pressing and another 30 minutes sorting pieces but it's rewarding to see how much closer I am to my goal now! I'd love to have all the blocks ready before we head home in 2 weeks. I have a big design wall there and can piece the top a lot more quickly if I use that.

Time to pull on my big girl panties, grab my bottle of oil, and give the Singer S16 another try. Wish me luck.

Yesterday I had to break down an order the gray Kona yardage I need for my brick quilt. It irked me because I was hoping to make it from fabrics I had on hand. About a month ago I bought several solids at a de-stash sale at local fabric shop..two of them grays. So I was hoping to use one of those grays for my project...........but of course ...........it wasn't near enough.......and as everyone knows.....no two pieces of the same color are going to match exactly.

Hope it's ok to post in this thread. I've been working on some disappearing quilt blocks and finally got the last few done. It's a mix of disappearing pinwheel and disappearing hourglass mostly, but there's a few other layouts in there too. I used a tonga treats layer cake and added a few colors from my own stash to make an even dozen blocks.
