    I don't think it's childish but just right. I think I'd have to make him another one, too.

    I made both my niece and nephew quilts when they were little. My niece always makes sure she sleeps with the signature up by her face.
    One yard of fabric, like one cookie, is never enough!

    This story made me cry! So often we hear of quilts being totally unappreciated. This is so encouraging - I just want to drop everything and go quilt!

    Your quilt is beautiful and your story even more so. I love your nephew! He is absolutely going to love it. What fortune that you had that beautiful quilt and were able to put a label on it. You know, I made a quilt one time and had no one in mind to give it to. When I was taking it to the LAQ it came to me that my grandson, Michael, would be the recipient of this quilt. Don't know what made me decide that, except he came to mind strongly. Turns out he loves it, put it on the couch in his living room and shows it off. So the fact that you may not have made that specifically for your nephew, it found the right home. As the others requested, please let us know what his reaction was. Thanks for posting the picture and the story..
