Pcbatiks - Your ‘Grandma Flowers’ wall hanging is gorgeous - as is the first one you made. And though you nixed the idea of the triangle quilt, are you just going to keep us hanging on what your next quilt will be?

Lou -You have such a busy life! I hope your son is feeling better, but best to keep him home tomorrow, ‘just to make sure’. And, if you can get in some quilting time - all the better!

Splinter - the Dahlia quilt center is lovely. What a great beginning for a quilt.

Denise - you are well on your way to another beautiful quilt.

Gwen - That is a pretty quilt top. I think I would finish it off with a narrow white border, and then audition some colors for another border, or two (or three?). Perhaps alternating the colored borders with white?

I finished piecing the chevron border and ripped out the snail and dark green borders (again!). Now I have to replace the dark green with neutrals to match the snail and chevron backgrounds, then reattach the snail borders, and attach the chevron borders. I tried hard to avoid doing this, but I just couldn't get used to that dark green.

Gwen, That is gorgeous. How about a narrow white border, than black setting triangles to turn it back into a square, than a piano key border with all the color you used in the interior.

I like the piano keys idea. Once I figure out the set in triangles. ...

I picked out the fabric for my next version of Tier Soup. Isn't this awesome? It already glows. I am keeping this one for myself. I can practice my quilting motif on the seafoam colored version first. I love this pattern.

Thank you. I saw a quilt posted on the internet, entitled "African Queens". ( I searched for the pattern). Finally, I broke out the graph paper and created this block. (Similar to the original with a few modifications. )

awesome work, Gwen! I love the color and the on point setting of the blocks. I agree on white as the first boarder to finish the blocks, then some kind of color past that!

I finished my pile of mug rugs, cleaned & oiled the machine and have new thread in it for my niece's quilt. Goodness, I'm sleepy this afternoon, I forget how exhausting my son can be!!

I'm really excited about this one. I feel like I took the fabric to its full potential.
